Web series / Hugo in qualification for the Mini, the pleasure of sharing beautiful moments at sea

While he takes part (in the real life) in the SAS race whose stage exceptionally connects Les Sables-d'Olonne to Roscoff (because of COVID 19), Hugo shares an episode which tells the beginning of his qualification.

To take part in the Mini Transat, scheduled to start in the fall of 2021, competitors must complete a qualification course. This course forms a loop descending south to the Isle of Ré and going back north to a buoy in the south of Ireland. Competitors can start this loop wherever they want (provided they return to the starting point), and whenever they want (they choose their weather). On the other hand, this route must be completed without a stage in one go.

Hugo chooses this summer 2020 with a beautiful anticyclone to achieve the loop which is not timed. He set off from La Turbale and headed north towards the tip of Brittany. At the start the conditions are fine and allow a restful first night for Hugo, who is sailing at over 10 knots under gennaker.

On this boat - (the Maxi 650 #1014 Kiraucassis - which he rented for the season, Hugo is still looking for a partner. A search that takes time and that he has to do in addition to his training and the preparation of the boat. In spite of this, the pleasure of sailing and the smile on the sailor's face show the desire of this sailor to do well.
