Web series / Mini training on board the semi-rigid coach for Hugo

After having rented a Mini 6.50 for the next two seasons, Hugo is now going into training and looking for sponsors.

After crossing the Atlantic single-handed on a sea foam that he has completely rebuilt and participating in the clipper World Race as second on a 70-foot one-design, Hugo ( The Sailing Frenchman ) decided to embark on a Mini-Transat project.

For the next two seasons he has rented a Maxi 6.50 with a round bow from the Breton shipyard IDB Marine. It is in Lorient that he has chosen to put down his suitcase - or rather his van - capital of ocean racing. On the pontoons, you will come across many racing yachts, from the small Mini 6.50 to the big Ultims, via the Class40 and the Figaro Bénéteau 3 .

This is where Hugo chose to attend class practice. But to get into the swing of things, he first participates in these sessions as a spectator. To do this, he boards the coach's semi-rigid boat so that he can learn how the boat works from the outside.

After 2 days of accompaniment, Hugo is delighted to be able to discover how various parameters act on the boat.

In addition to sailing, Hugo is also looking for funds to participate in the Mini Transat. He is therefore approaching companies capable of participating in the rental of the boat, the sails, as well as the participation fees for the races. A process made difficult by these times of health crisis. If you have contacts, do not hesitate to leave a message.
