If the regatta remains a game, there are rules to know to avoid mistakes or bad surprises, but also to ensure the safety of all participants on the water.

The first chapter of our dossier deals with fundamentals general rules of racing and their application.

The second chapter examines the rules of priority when two boats meet in a regatta . The first part details the priorities when 2 boats meet. Then, in the second part, we will discuss the limits of priorities, priorities at course marks, standard situations at course marks and some special cases.

The third chapter concerns the particularly exciting phase of departure .

The fourth part looks at courses and marker crossings .

Finally, the fifth and last chapter deals with specific characteristics of coastal courses .
