Web series / Debouching under spinnaker max in Mini 6.50, breathtaking images seen from drone

A long sail under spinnaker along the Ile de Ré filmed with his drone. Thank you Hugo for these beautiful images of solo sailing. Hugo joined La Rochelle to take part in the training sessions of this port.

After a break in Port Joinville (Ile d'Yeu) to let a gust of wind pass, Hugo continues his journey to La Rochelle with his Maxi 6.50 number 1014. This competitor of the next Mini Transat, known as The Sailing Frenchman, shares his sailing adventures on video.

Hugo is a young sailor who renovated an Écume de Mer to live adventures on board. After a transatlantic race and long months in the Caribbean, he got the position of first mate on a Clipper Race sailboat. In a good position in the ranking, this race was finally stopped because of the COVID. Hugo bounced back by launching a Mini Transat project by renting a Maxi 6.50, these sailboats built by the IDBmarine shipyard with the round bow so recognizable.

From now on, Hugo will train as much as he can by participating in the events that precede the transatlantic race. Departure for the Atlantic on September 26, 2021.

In the meantime, this sailor regales us with his videos like this stage towards La Rochelle where he takes advantage of a beautiful day of gliding under spinnaker max to take off his drone and give us beautiful views of his Mini.
