After a two-month break where he will take the opportunity to go back to Mum and Dad's and go skiing, Hugo finds his way back to the pontoons. On the dock awaits him his Maxi 650, the Mini 6.50 with which he will race the Mini Transat in the fall of 2021.
For the moment Hugo is training with the training centre of La Turbale. He is doing a series of maneuvers under the eye of the coach who schedules training sessions. In this episode Hugo explains how he gybes under the spinnaker and especially how he lowers the spinnaker when he comes to smother it under the mainsail.
But as every time the training is over, Hugo takes his boat out of the water to leave it for the week on his trailer. But this time the manoeuvre doesn't go as planned and a gust of wind breaks the spreader bar. It will be the occasion for Hugo to dismast to repair. He's going to take advantage of the opportunity to check all the rigging, which in any case was planned before the start of the transatlantic race.
The dismasting of a Mini is not very complicated as long as you can help each other on the 2 neighbouring boats. And once again, you can see the sharing of the help that forms the large Mini family with all the competitors who come to help with the manoeuvre.
