Season 2020 in Mini 6.50, a calendar in turmoil, but with great events

Hugo travels to La Trinité to take the start of the Mini in May in September 2020. But before taking the start, the boat has to be prepared and any breakages from the previous race have to be repaired.

Between two races time is short. Covid's fault. The race calendar has been totally turned upside down. Just back from his 9th place at the SAS, Hugo leaves Les Sables-d'Olonne to go to La Trinité at the start of the Mini in May (to be run in September this year).

But before being able to rest, Hugo tries to solve his weather vane problems where his aerial causes him concern. Rather than dismasting, Hugo took the option of laying his boat between the pontoons. This way he can tinker quietly at the masthead at ground level.

But these attempts will not be enough, and Hugo will have to pull a new cable to connect the windvane to the instruments. Lacking time to pass the cable cleanly through the mast, he will run it along the shrouds while waiting for a more definitive solution.

In this end of episode, Hugo also shows us the mutual help that exists within this fleet of Mini 6.50. If they're all pulling each other's backs on the water, ashore, we don't hesitate to lend a hand there to fold a sail, here to cheer each other up.

The video ends at the start of the race. Will Hugo do better than his 9th place in the previous race?
