Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez is in full swing, with 250 yachts taking advantage of a nice south-westerly breeze. Centenaries, Maxis, Moderns and Classics are all in the running.

From September 29 to October 8, the Voiles de Saint-Tropez are in full swing. The regattas kicked off with the Maxis, Moderns and Classics. A total of 250 yachts took advantage of a nice south-westerly breeze of up to 20 knots. After these first days of racing, the Centenaires were able to take part in the Challenge Day, allowing them to race without any question of size.

The Transat Jacques Vabre 2023 will offer 4 starts and 4 different courses to ensure the same festivities and media coverage.

For the 30th edition of the Transat Jacques Vabre, the competitors are more numerous than ever. There will be 95 pairs at the start of the double-handed transatlantic race. For the safety of the race course, the race committee decided to give 4 starts . The Ultims will start first, with the other fleets starting every 12 minutes. To ensure the same amount of time at sea and the same level of celebration and media coverage, 4 courses have been designed. As a result, competitors should spend around 14 days at sea for a grouped finish, celebrating 4 winners.

Carlos Manera Pascual and Michael Gendebien win the first leg of the Mini Transat, while Victor Mathieu falls victim to a windless bubble.

While victory in this first proto leg looked set to go to Victor Mathieu on the Mini 967 âeuros Celeris Informatique, the final 15 miles reshuffled the cards. Because of a windless bubble off the island of Palma, Carlos Manera Pascual on Mini 1080 Xucla takes first place . He finished just 9 minutes and 31 seconds ahead of his rival, who was up to 42 miles behind with less than 24 hours to go. In the series, Michael Gendebien won the 1st leg on his Pogo 3 Barillec Marine Actemium.

The Maxi Banque Populaire XI wins the 24 Heures Ultim, a competition that highlights small time gaps

Organized in two stages - runs followed by an offshore course in the Atlantic - this is the perfect way to get the most out of your trip the 24H Ultim gave the 4 competitors a tough time . Indeed, the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild won on the runs, but the 340-mile course went to Armel le Cléac'h. Quickly followed by his rivals, this race showed a particularly high level of class.

Jean Le Cam christens his new IMOCA, Tout commence en Finistère - Armor-lux, after two years of design and construction.

After two years of design and construction, Jean Le Cam has christened his new IMOCA. At the age of 64, King Jean worked closely with Eric Bellion and architect David Raison to design this new scow-type boat with straight daggerboards. After her launch at the end of September, Tout commence en Finistère - Armor-lux was christened by Jacqueline Tabarly, godmother of all Jean Le Cam's boats.
