Web series / Nomad Citizen Sailing: Heading north to Majorca

After several weeks spent in the south of the island of Majorca, it is time for Daniela, Marvin and their little daughter Tara to change anchorage. Direction the north of the island in the company of three other sailboats.

For several weeks, Nomad Citizen Sailing has been at anchor in the south of the island of Majorca. After having experienced several problems on board, including the breakdown of their engine, everything is now back in order. It is now time to continue their journey towards the north of the island, and more precisely Soller.

Three boats set sail on a sunny day. But the wind was not with them as there was only 3 knots of wind. So they started their 36-mile sail under engine and mainsail.

After a good part of their 6 hours of sailing, they stopped at Cala Sa Forsada, a splendid anchorage in the north of the island. Lunch on board and swimming punctuate the day even if all are obliged to change anchorage regularly.

In Mallorca, the bottom is covered by Posidonia, and this seaweed is protected. It is therefore necessary to find sandy bottoms to anchor, quite difficult to find in this area.

At the end of the day, they finally found the perfect anchorage where they could spend the night on board after a good meal with friends.
