Web series / Finally the departure from Portugal for Nomad Citizen Sailing, direction Spain!

After a sail to Faro, still in Portugal, and a visit of the city, Nomad Citizen raises the anchor to reach the Spanish border.

It's 7 am and it's time to leave Portugal for Spain! The first navigation of 27 miles under code D, will finally end under motor. The family has now reached the Guadiana River, border between the two countries, with Portugal on the right and Spain on the left. The bad weather conditions will not allow them to land.

The next day, at 6:00 am, it was time to set sail again towards Chipiona, located in the province of Cadiz, in Andalusia. For this second day of sailing, the wind is 7.5 knots and the boat speed is 5.5 knots.

The family continued to sail to reach their arrival point as soon as possible. Indeed, the weather forecast announces a lot of wind to come for the evening, with notably gusts of 50 knots in Gibraltar. It is thus in the port of Chipiona that Nomad Citizen will be moored for the next few days, in order to let the storm pass.

A more comfortable decision for their little daughter Tara, because at anchor with such conditions, the boat moves a lot, it is difficult to go ashore in the dinghy and therefore to stretch the legs for Tara.

Once their destination is reached and the formalities are done (Covid obliges!), the family takes the opportunity to walk in the deserted streets of the city.
