Web series / Nomad Citizen Sailing : Checking the rudder before launching

Nomad Citizen Sailing will soon be launched! Daniela and Marvin are busy carrying out the final work on their yacht. After the rigging, they call an expert to check the rudder.

The work continues on the Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 473 Nomad Citizen. The rigging is now in place and the work of the day consists in checking and controlling the state of the rudder rings. A job that can be done without having to crane the boat and lift it.

Once dismantled, the couple waited for an expert to come and see what work needed to be done. In the meantime, Daniela is in charge of the spring cleaning inside the boat: sorting out the things they no longer need and making room for the new ones.

After checking and gluing the rudder rings, the rudder is back in place. We will have to wait another 24 hours for it to dry before we can finally go back to the anchorage.

The last work of the day is dedicated to the installation of davits for the dinghy, by reusing the pulleys and various fittings found on board the boat.
