Web series / Return to the Mediterranean for Nomad Citizen Sailing

After a few anchorages along the Spanish coast, Nomad Citizen Sailing set sail for the Mediterranean, passing the Strait of Gibraltar for the second time since they left last year.

Daniela, Marvin and Tara leave their anchorage in Bolonia Beach, south of Spain to cross the Strait of Gibraltar, towards the Mediterranean. This is their second "line" crossing between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, but it is still an exciting moment, with Europe on one side and Africa on the other. However, the couple is still stressed by the possible killer whale attacks that occurred in this area a few months ago, so they prefer to sail close to the coast.

After a first navigation, the family is forced to stop in Gibraltar to refuel. The tanks are totally empty, the last refueling being a year ago! But it was impossible to disembark, as the health crisis obliged yachtsmen to declare their arrival 24 hours before their arrival. Something that Nomad Citizen did not do.

We had to be satisfied with a quick stop at the dock to prepare the first tuna caught by Marvin (which made Daniela very sick because of the smell) and a meal on board before setting sail again.

A beautiful day of navigation awaits them, the sea being calm, the sun is shining and the visibility is perfect. This first part of the navigation will be done under engine - for more prudence in the middle of the cargo ships - before putting the sails once arrived in the Mediterranean.
