Web series / The work continues for Nomad Citizen Sailing

In this new episode of Nomad Citizen Sailing, the crew continues the work on their Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 473. On the program, rigging, sails and new dinghy.

Daniela, Marvin and their little daughter Tara are back on their sailboat Nomad Citizen, which is being worked on on land before being put back in the water. The work on the rigging continues, notably with the installation of the new genoa furler (the old one was 20 years old). The couple also decided to install a staysail furler to facilitate solo maneuvers.

Marvin took the opportunity to train with the person who is doing the work, especially on the different load distributions on the rigging and the different cables.

The couple then retrieved their sails - which needed some minor repairs, but are in pretty good shape overall.

They also took possession of their new dinghy, which had to be emptied of the water that had seeped into the fuel tank. Since they no longer needed their old one, they donated it to a couple of sailors they met while anchored.
