Web series / Nomad Citizen Sailing : Preparation and decoration of the sailboat before returning to sailing

After a winter spent in Reunion Island, Daniela, Marvin and Tara are back in Portimao, Portugal on board their sailboat Nomad Citizen.

For 4 months, Daniela, Marvin and Tara visited the island of Reunion, where Marvin is from. After 72 hours of transit, isolation and numerous PCR tests, the little family was finally able to join their sailboat Nomad Citizen in Portimao, Portugal.

For the moment, the boat is dismasted and on a quay. Portugal is confined and navigation is forbidden, so the crew is taking it easy and taking advantage of the opportunity to fine-tune the winter work.

Starting with the installation of a hull sticker, specially designed by the Breton artist Alain Coadou, representing a giant squid. Marvin also installs the windvane at the masthead, easier with the boat dismasted.

Daniela proceeds to a great interior cleaning, the boat having remained uninhabited during 4 months, without any ventilation. Mould stains appeared on the linings.

The family is therefore busy before the re-masting of their sailboat - scheduled for later in the week - and the authorization to sail.
