Web series / A new rig for Nomad Citizen before (re)sailing

Back on the boat, Daniela and Marvin continue the work before the launch of their boat. In this new episode, the rigging is being renovated.

Before being able to put their boat back in the water and take to the sea again, Daniela and Marvin continue to prepare their boat for their trip. After a check-up of the rigging requested by the insurance companies before the transatlantic race, it turned out that there was some work to be done on their 9 year old rig.

They also took the opportunity to replace their 20 year old genoa furler for more safety and peace of mind. This advice was given to them by the team that came to install their bowsprit for the Code D.

This was an unplanned expense, as they had only planned for a staysail furler. A choice dictated by the crew of Poussé par le Vent. Marvin often sails alone, while Daniela takes care of Tara, and if he is adept at using a staysail on a releasable forestay during regattas, this choice is more comfortable when sailing with his family.

In addition to the furlers, the mast foot, which had suffered a leak, had to be repaired.
