Web series / Clipper Round the World 2019, a race at sea, but also on land!

If the crewed round the world sailing race, the Clipper Round the World, continues, the crews take the opportunity to rest and discover the country. This is what Hugo shows us in this episode.

We meet Hugo, the second on a Clipper Round the World sailboat at the stopover in Portugal. Although he had given us some very beautiful images of the spinnaker slide during the first stage, the result of the race was not really brilliant (8th). We find him at the stage where he can enjoy the awards festivities and a moment of relaxation.

Indeed, the southern coast of Portugal (the Algarve) offers a succession of small characteristic coves with caves that can be visited by boat. Taking advantage of the stopover in Portimao, Hugo borrowed a semi-rigid to discover this place and swim. Not to mention a few jumps from the rocks.

Then back to the race with the start of the second stage. This time the crew is doing better and is able to position themselves well on the starting line, with a bold option on the port side. This step will connect Portugal to Brazil. A transatlantic race with the crossing of the equator and its famous Doldrums. To be continued..
