Test / Complete test of the Wellcraft 38 T-Top: a grand open with an ambitious program

With the 38 T-Top, Wellcraft has created a 12-meter center console with a distinctive personality. Heir to the American offshore tradition and dressed in Camillo Garroni's Italian design, this model combines extreme power, deck comfort and versatility. Powered by three 350 hp Mercury V10 engines, it exceeds 50 knots while offering a spacious cockpit, a functional cabin and equipment adapted to both water sports and sport fishing. We tested it off the coast of Cannes for a complete four-part test.

The Wellcraft 38 T-Top embodies the meeting of two worlds: offshore performance inherited from the USA and the elegance of Mediterranean design. Designed by Michael Peters for the hull and Camillo Garroni for the fittings, this 11.69-meter center-console powered by three 350-hp Mercury V10s exceeds 50 knots while offering astonishing habitability. We took the time to examine her from every angle: first through her philosophy and the genesis of the project, then by detailing her deck layout and fittings. We then carried out a full sea trial off Cannes, before analyzing its pricing and positioning in relation to its main competitors in the segment.
