Wellcraft DNA revisited
Wellcraft is a name that resonates in the American offshore world. For several decades, the brand has cultivated an image of robust boats, built for high speeds and capable of tackling rough seas. With the 38 T-Top, it transposes this DNA into a modernized version, designed to appeal to an international clientele in search of sporty boats suitable for mixed use. The idea is not just to offer a speed machine, but a center console that combines driving pleasure, versatility and on-board comfort.
Designed by Michael Peters and Camillo Garroni

To design the 38 T-Top, Wellcraft called on two renowned names. The deep-V hull was designed by Michael Peters, an American specialist in offshore hulls, renowned for designing fast, stable hulls capable of exceeding 50 knots without sacrificing comfort. The exterior design and interior layout were entrusted to the Italian studio of Camillo Garroni. This transatlantic collaboration gives the boat a dual identity: raw performance from the USA and Mediterranean elegance from Italy.
A versatile sports program

Behind its sleek lines, the Wellcraft 38 T-Top hides a very clear program. Three 350 hp Mercury V10s enable it to reach speeds of over 50 knots, transforming this center-console into an impressive fast cruiser. But there's more to this model's philosophy than speed: the 38 T-Top also targets sport fishing, thanks to numerous rod holders and technical storage compartments, as well as family leisure activities, with a large modular cockpit, a tilting side deck and a comfortable cabin. The presence of external galley equipment underlines this desire for versatility: the boat can be used as a base for a day's sport or as a fast cruiser.
Loyalty to the offshore hull tradition
The deep-V hull remains the founding element of the Wellcraft philosophy. It ensures smooth passage through swells, lateral stability in hard turns and the ability to maintain high speeds in sometimes difficult conditions. This heritage is fully reflected in the 38 T-Top, which doesn't deny its origins, but has been modernized.

Unlike some open boats that are more geared towards coastal cruising or lounging, the Wellcraft is designed for committed use: confidently tackling the sea, even when the wind and chop make sailing demanding.
International ambitions
The Wellcraft 38 T-Top is more than just a console center. It embodies the meeting of two worlds: that of pure speed inherited from the American offshore and that of refined design inspired by the Mediterranean. Designed as a boat with character, it is aimed at customers who want to combine thrills, versatility and habitability. The next section will be devoted to the deck layout and fittings, detailing the ergonomic choices and spaces offered by this large 11.69-meter open boat.
