Test / Gozzo 48 Cabin test drive: cruising between Mediterranean tradition and modern comfort

© Bluepassion

With the 48 Cabin, Apreamare has created a 15-meter gozzo that combines Sorrento heritage and modernity. Designed by Marco Casali and Umberto Tagliavini, this model is the shipyard's new flagship. Enclosed wheelhouse, modular cockpit, bright interiors and deep-V hull make this an elegant and reassuring unit. Powered by Volvo Penta IPS 700 or 800 engines, she reaches speeds of over 30 knots, while offering a level of habitability worthy of larger yachts. We tried her out off Cannes for a complete four-part test.

The Gozzo 48 Cabin embodies the meeting of over 170 years of Mediterranean tradition and contemporary expectations in terms of comfort and performance. True to the identity of Sorrento's gozzos, it modernizes the concept with an enclosed wheelhouse and modular layout.

We took the time to examine her from every angle: first through her philosophy and the genesis of the project, then by detailing her deck layout and fittings. We then carried out a full sea trial off Cannes, before analyzing its pricing and positioning in relation to its main competitors in the segment.
