Test / Jeanneau Leader 10.5 CC, a family-friendly, sporty open hull

The Leader 10.5 CC is the largest model in the Leader central console range. Modern and sporty, it offers a wide range of programs. Let's take a look at the concept and program of this model in the first part of this test.

A historic range exported beyond our borders

Leader is Jeanneau's historic range, with 35,000 boats sold between 1982 and 2023. The range, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2022, is exported mainly outside the European Union. Some 62 models have been produced, all sharing the same values: good seaworthiness, on-board comfort and, above all, program versatility.

A sporty flagship designed by a trio of specialists

The Leader 10.5 CC, for Central Console, follows the same DNA and, at 10.9 m long, is the flagship of the range. This sporty open cruiser is built on the same hull as the Leader 10.5 WA, launched in 2016. The only difference is that this new model features the brand's second Air Step hull version, which is less sensitive to speed.

This model is designed, like the rest of the range, by Michael Peters Yacht Design, Patrice Sarrazin Design and Jeanneau's in-house teams. The result is a boat with modern, sporty lines and a rather streamlined design.

A family model with a wide range of navigation programs

The Leader 10.5 CC is just as well suited to day cruising, with two large cockpits fore and aft and several swim ladders, as it is to longer family cruising, thanks to its fully-equipped galley and two double cabins, each with its own toilet. Fishermen will also appreciate the 5 rod holders fitted as standard on the T-Top, and water sports enthusiasts can also equip their boat with a ski mast.

This model, although aimed more at a family program, makes no secret of its sporty character. Powered by two 425 hp Yamaha XTO engines, the Leader 10.5 CC reaches a top speed of 47 knots.
