Breton shipyard Pogo Structures unveils a boat that extends the promise of the Loxo 32 into a more ambitious program, without changing its technical course. With its controlled weight, shallow draught and optimized range, the Loxo 40 takes a different direction from conventional trawlers.
Comfort and autonomy for light cruising

The Loxo 40's light weight (around 4 t for an overall length of 12.80 m) is the key to its overall performance: moderate fuel consumption, stable cruising speed of between 12 and 15 knots, and shallow draft. Two beaching fins also enable the boat to be landed at low tide. A rare configuration for this type of unit.
The boat boasts enhanced autonomy, with a 480-liter fuel tank and 285 liters of fresh water. For coastal or semi-offshore cruising, this profile is aimed at families or sailors seeking independence in areas with little infrastructure.
Layout designed for life on board at anchor

With two helm stations (inside and outside), two double cabins, a convertible saloon and a separate bathroom, the Loxo 40 offers a much higher level of habitability than the 32-footer. The cockpit is vast, structured around an exterior saloon, a sunbathing area and two gates securing the stern closure.

The interior layout favors life at anchor: sea view from the saloon, generous ventilation with eight opening hatches, fully equipped galley (oven, stove, refrigerator) and quality upholstery. And attention has been paid to both on-board circulation and use at anchor.
Building for sustainable performance

The site used its usual processes: vacuum infusion, foam sandwiches and structures reinforced by internal partitioning. The architecture aims for rigidity and durability, while maintaining a contained displacement. The hull glides easily, without excessive engine power.
The performance achieved (up to 25 knots with a Yanmar 250 hp) does not come at the expense of fuel economy. With its standard 150 hp engine, the Loxo 40 offers moderate fuel consumption, far from the standards of heavier launches.
The Loxo 40 meets the expectations of modern sailors

The market is evolving: between reasoned pleasure boating, reduced fuel consumption, and limited draught to explore small coves or pass under bridges, this type of boat responds to a redefining segment. It is aimed at boaters looking for energy efficiency, but also for ease of handling.
Its design also allows for a certain degree of autonomy: shallow draft, good beaching capabilities, central propulsion with sterndrive, easy access to the mechanics.
A tariff positioned in a technical market
The base price announced for 2025 is ?320,000 ex VAT, or ?384,000 inc VAT. The boat is offered in standard version with a Yanmar 150 hp. The equipment is complete, with windlass, bow thruster, water heater, full interior upholstery and ready-to-go fittings.
