Test / 470 Regina: Pricing and options of a positioning of luxurious star

4th part of our test, dedicated to the price positioning of the 470 Regina. With a high quality construction and an equally high quality layout, the manufacturer FIM has positioned itself in a high-end niche. With an already high standard price, the numerous options list makes the total amount go up above one million euros.

A high-end standard rate

The 470 Regina is posted at the price of 790 000 euros HT with the standard motorization, that is to say two engines Volvo IPS 650 of 2x480 HP. For the version with the 2x600 horsepower IPS 800 engines, which equipped our test model, the standard price is 847,000 euros. Many options are offered by the shipyard, some of which increase the price! Thus, our test model was "full option" with a final price of 1,398,462 euros (excluding VAT) or 1,678,154.40 euros (including VAT).

Among the list of the most expensive options is Raymarine's Platinum package with two 16-inch multifunction displays, an 18-inch radar, a stern camera, a marine thermal camera and the AIS700 system at a cost of 42,350 euros. The metallic acrylic hull paint also adds to the cost as it is the highest option in the package, 49,500 euros.

On this 15.10 m long model, we will certainly opt for the Volvo Assisted Docking Kit with bow thruster sold for 31,350 euros. The T-top, which allows protected navigation, is also an option sold for 26,400 euros. As for comfort options, the tilting bulwarks are priced at 30,800 euros and the convertible bow fitting at 24,200 euros. The side opening in the windshield allowing access to the gangway is also a practical but expensive option, 32,250 euros.

More or less similar rates for the competition

The competition for this type of model includes Del Pardo, although the shipyard does not have a model of similar size. The Pardo 43 is 13.45 m long and the Pardo 50, 16.25 m with its bathing platform. We based our comparison on the latter. With two 440 horsepower IPS 600s, offering 3 cabins for 5 berths and without options, the Pardo 50 is sold from 1,146,000 euros TTC.

At Fjord, the Fjord 53XL with a length of 15.98 m and two Volvo Penta IPS 700 engines of 550 hp has a price tag of almost 1,600,000 euros including tax, without options.
