A 4-part test of the Antares 9
The first installment looks back at the model's philosophy, its genesis, and the evolutions of this 2025 version. Inspired by the Antarès 12, the boat gains in presence and adopts a more technical construction method: vacuum infusion.
The second section explores the deck layout and interior fittings in detail. Despite a contained length of 8.23 meters, the Antarès 9 accommodates two independent cabins, a convertible saloon and a bright wheelhouse.
The third part relates a sea trial off Cannes, in 20 knots of westerly wind and short, choppy seas. Stability, chop behavior, flap efficiency and piloting comfort are all scrutinized.
Finally, in the fourth section, we analyze the boat's price positioning. Priced from ?175,860, the Antarès 9 is up against well-established competition in the 8- to 9-meter family helmsman segment.
