A deep, protective cockpit
The first eye-catching feature is the cockpit design. This is set within a deep polyester counter-mold, giving the whole appreciable protection. Passengers seated on the U-shaped aft bench seat are thus better sheltered when sailing fast or changing course hard. This depth, often overlooked on units of this size, enhances safety on board, especially for families or crews with children. However, we regret the absence of a port side gate to close off the passage to the cockpit, a detail that would have further enhanced the safety aspect.
A versatile rear bench seat

The U-shaped bench seat, occupying the entire rear width, comfortably seats four to five people. It can be combined with a removable table, transforming the space into a convivial saloon for on-board meals. When the table is lowered, the whole area becomes a generously-sized aft solarium. This modularity illustrates the shipyard's desire to offer a boat that is not only oriented towards sailing performance, but also towards relaxing at anchor.
Reassuring front sunbathing

At the bow, the Filanciu 650 offers a large triangular sundeck, 1.69 meters long and 1.10 meters wide on average. The space is bordered by large-diameter floats, which play a protective role, giving the impression of a cocoon. This technical choice reflects a focus on safety: passengers seated on the front mattress benefit from a protected seating position, less exposed to sea movements. The polyester module integrating the anchor locker is also covered with additional upholstery, forming a sunbathing backrest and enhancing overall comfort.
Premium finishes on a 6.50 m

One of the things that immediately sets the Filanciu 650 apart is the quality of its finish. The Hypalon floats are covered in a fabric with a visual effect akin to carbon fiber, reinforcing the model's sporty, high-end look. The upholstery, in a rich caramel tone, harmonizes with the deck elements and enhances the overall aesthetic. These details contribute to giving a premium identity to a boat that remains positioned in an accessible segment.
Ergonomic helm station

The helm console, relatively narrow at the base, frees up space for lateral circulation. The helm station consists of a single-seater seat and a clear steering wheel, positioned well away from the Honda electronic controls. This positioning avoids any discomfort when maneuvering, even when the pilot is dynamically seated in a standing or semi-seated position.

At the front of the console, a front seat is integrated, dressed in upholstery embossed with the brand logo. Contrary to what one might imagine, this is not a trunk, but an additional seat, reinforcing the convivial spirit on board.

Plenty of practical storage space

The technical locker under the aft bench seat is separate from the side lockers, a judicious choice that facilitates organization on board. Two additional lockers complete the storage capacity, as does a large anchor locker forward.

The locker under the pilot's seat is deep enough to accommodate fenders, while a side locker incorporates a support for the aluminum table leg. The whole layout is designed to optimize every available volume, even if opening the lockers requires unclipping the cushions, a rather impractical operation when sailing.
The deck layout of the Filanciu 650 reflects a successful balance between modularity, comfort and safety. While certain ergonomic details could be optimized, such as the addition of handrails or simplified access to lockers, the overall impression is one of perceived quality and attention to actual use. This 6.50 m semi-rigid offers layouts worthy of larger models, confirming Fanale Marine's ambition to elevate its entry-level range.
