Antarès 9, the small family cruise with all comforts

The Antares 9 from Bénéteau

One year after the renewal of the first models in the Antarès range - the Antarès 7 and 8 launched in 2016 - Bénéteau completes the renewal with the largest and smallest models - the Antarès 9 and Antarès 6. Let's discover the largest model of the range, a 9 m long weekender for small cruising with friends or family.

Bénéteau has completely renewed its Antarès range, starting with the Antares 7 and 8 in 2016, replacing 680 and 780, two best-selling models in the range. In 2017, the Vendée shipyard will complete the renewal of the smallest and largest models, the Antarès 6 and 9.

L' Antares 9 replaces the Antares 8.80 - a small cruising boat - and has been designed as a new boat, with a new Airstep hull, whose efficiency is no longer to be proven. The design has also been modified to offer a more modern version, in line with the times and with maximum comfort for spending several days at sea.

In this new model, there is a new square opposite with a modular bench seat. The backrest tilts from front to back to become a co-driver's seat or dining bench and converts into an extra bed for one person. The side helm station is installed on the starboard side, from which the skipper has easy access to the foredeck via the side door. A galley is located on the starboard side behind the pilot seat.

Light floods in with a roof ventilated by glass, a fully glazed wheelhouse and a three-panel bay window to access the cockpit. This space - fully enclosed with the back of the bench seat and the starboard gate - is fitted with a U-shaped bench seat convertible into a large sundeck and easily converts into a dining area with the addition of a removable table.

On the lower deck there are two closed cabins - one forward (in place of scissor beds on the old model) and a mid cabin in the centre. The Antares 8.80 already had two cabins, but they were open. A bathroom completes the set of facilities.

The Antarès 9 receives a maximum of 2x200 HP with a fuel tank capacity of 600 L. With nice performances, the Antares 9 is a family model for a small family cruise with all the necessary fittings and comfort for a short time on the water. It is easy to move around on board - both outside via the well-protected gangways with high balconies - and inside where there is plenty of space for a family.
