The TT550 is an ambitious extension of the TT series launched by Invictus. Measuring 16.87 meters long and 5.04 meters wide, this Italian dayboat features more spacious exterior fittings and revised structural materials. The shipyard's stated aim is to offer a more immersive experience in coastal sailing and at anchor.

Structural choices focused on rigidity and weight distribution
The TT550's hull is made from recyclable thermoplastic PET resin. This material, less common in traditional construction, reduces overall weight, resulting in optimized fuel consumption and more responsive handling.

Above all, the integrated laminate tanks are molded directly into the structure. This choice is aimed at improving the rigidity of the overall structure, as well as a more even weight distribution, which has a positive effect on the boat's dynamic stability, both when underway and when stationary. This type of tank integration is not new in itself, but it remains rare in this size of unit.

Rethinking the use of terraces and outdoor spaces
As is often the case with Invictus, the TT550 is based on a strong stylistic signature: a semi-reversed bow and a taut design of volumes. But it's the deck features that really catch the eye.

The two folding side decks significantly extend the living space when stationary. Access to the sea is also facilitated by a submersible bathing platform. Passengers are protected by deep coamings. Forward of the cockpit, a relaxation area is shaded by a carbon-fiber awning inspired by Berber tents.

The seating arrangement, with a bench backrest that tilts aft, extends the sunbathing area without obstruction. This type of modularity is increasingly sought after on units over 15 meters long.

Materials, upholstery and customization: an on-demand workshop
Atelier Invictus allows owners to personalize their unit. Three upholstery color charts (Cloudy, Sandy, Woody) are available, along with two new hull colors (Stone White and Deep Groove).

Beyond the simple color palette, the interest comes from the coverings: a new water-resistant textile range replaces the usual imitation leather. More supple and visually closer to an upholstery textile, this material has been designed for intensive use in marine environments.

Flexible interior design on a classic base
The layout features two cabins (owner's and VIP), available either forward or amidships, each with en-suite bathroom. A third cabin or central galley can be added as an option, as can a seaman's quarters.

Bar height, access to natural light and sound insulation have not been detailed, but remain key elements in this range.

Propulsion: Volvo IPS950 for efficiency and range
The TT550 is equipped with two Volvo Penta IPS950s. This choice provides steerable propulsion with joystick, making maneuvers in port accessible. IPS integration also frees up space on board, particularly in the technical hold.

This engine torque is suited to typical Mediterranean semi-high-speed cruising, without aiming for extreme peak speeds.
A shipyard to watch in the 15 to 18-metre unit range
With the TT550, Cantieri Aschenez refines its strategy for units on the borderline between the luxury tender and the fast cruising yacht. This segment is attracting more and more Italian builders, such as Bluegame and Pardo, who are also banking on high-performance hull design and modular layouts. The battle will not be fought on style alone.
