Test / Deck layout and fittings for the Maio 1400: a maxi tire designed for life on board

The Maio 1400 offers more than just attractive lines. Her deck layout and fittings have been designed to alternate convivial days with comfortable cruising. Discover a modular space that combines ergonomics and refinement.

A central cockpit under a hardtop

Access to the boat is via the huge rear bathing platform, which precedes the sunbathing area. We're immediately impressed by the space dedicated to swimming and lounging. Many shipyards have long since opted to install outboards on this type of unit, and Fanale Marine's decision to opt for inboards proves to be a judicious and differentiating choice.

The second striking feature is the imposing hardtop, which protects both the helm station and the cockpit saloon. The integrated handrails and fluid circulation ensure passenger safety, even when underway. The cockpit features a hydraulically jacked table that can be converted into a sunbathing area.

A cabin to extend your cruise

Below deck, a two-person cabin is available for overnight stays. Comfort can be enhanced with options such as air conditioning or Flexiteek flooring. Space remains compact, but it sets the Maio 1400 apart from units purely oriented towards a day trip program.

An integrated kitchenette comes as standard. This layout confirms the Maio 1400's mixed-use program: going out with friends, but also going away for several days, without depending on port calls. What's more, the choice of an inboard diesel engine gives the Maio 1400 a much greater range than its outboard equivalent.

A very large front range

At the bow, the Maio 1400 unfurls a veritable relaxation deck. The wide float and decked structure allow for a large sunbathing area, complemented by discreet but secure stainless steel handrails. A generous, unobstructed gangway provides easy access to the bow, which is equipped with an electric windlass and stainless steel anchor as standard.

This space has clearly been designed for longer anchorages, combining comfort and functionality with easy handling of the anchor from the forward berth.

Options tailored to high-end cruising

In addition to standard equipment, Fanale Marine offers comfort-oriented options such as a generator, a sun awning on carbon masts, and air conditioning. These features place the boat in the premium cruising niche, on the borderline between the Mediterranean day-boat and the pleasure yacht.
