Behind the 4XC HA20 lies the desire to offer a simple, accessible and versatile RIB, designed to appeal to family customers looking for a dayboat capable of combining comfort, safety and performance. Developed by Altamarea in Sicily and distributed in France by Honda Marine, it symbolizes the meeting of Mediterranean know-how and a Japanese engine renowned for its reliability.

A range designed for the partnership with Honda Marine

The HA20 is part of the 4XC series, a range developed by Honda Marine to accompany the spread of its outboards. The aim is clear: to offer reliable units at an affordable price, adapted to their 40 to 250 hp engines. The HA20 is the smallest model, both a showcase of accessibility and a gateway to the world of Honda-powered RIBs.

Built by the Sicilian Altamarea yard, which has a solid reputation in Italy for its robust, well-finished hulls, this boat is known as Wave 20 on the local market. Honda Marine markets it under its own label to cater for international customers, notably in France.

A compact boat for a versatile program

At 5.90 meters long and 2.43 meters wide, the HA20 is positioned in the trailerable RIB category, which is a considerable advantage for yachtsmen without a year-round berth. But beyond its size, this RIB has a specific purpose:

  • coastal family outings ;
  • water sports such as swimming, light water skiing and wakeboarding;
  • occasional fishing in roadsteads or sheltered coastal areas

A compromise between comfort and performance

Approved in category C for 12 people, it boasts a high theoretical capacity for its size. In reality, it's in a 4 to 6-passenger configuration that the boat best expresses its qualities, particularly in terms of speed and stability. Recommended engines range from 70 to 100 hp. Our test was carried out with a Honda BF100, the ideal choice for combining power and economy.

In short, the HA20 is designed as a simple, effective response to the needs of families who want to get into RIBs on a reasonable budget, while benefiting from the reassuring image of a recognized manufacturer and a benchmark engine builder.
