The 4XC H28 Day Cruiser marks the entry of the 4XC range into the 8-meter segment. Built in Italy at Ranieri International and distributed under the name 4XC Design by Honda Marine, this model has a clear program: to offer a fast, livable day cruiser for extended outings, without turning into a pure cruiser.
A deep-V hull
With an overall length of 8.20 meters and a beam of 2.55 meters, the H28 features a Deep Vee composite hull. This design favors passage through rough seas and a stable trajectory at sustained speeds, while maintaining progressive handling.
The 4XC H28 DC is available with several Honda Marine outboard engine configurations. Single-engine options range from the BF250 to the BF350 V8. A twin-engine layout is possible with two BF200s.
In its BF350 V8-equipped version, the boat reaches a cruising speed of around 25 knots and a maximum speed measured at around 44 knots. At 25 knots, fuel consumption is in the region of 40 liters per hour, a reasonable figure given the boat's size, weight and onboard power.
The 390-liter fuel tank provides comfortable day or weekend autonomy, complemented by an 80-liter freshwater reserve.
A cockpit designed for life on board

The aft cockpit is the heart of the H28. The large U-shaped bench seat is modular, with a tilting backrest that allows the seat to be tilted aft, practical for anchoring or nautical activities. A table can be installed in the center, and a stern sundeck is available as an option.

The outdoor kitchen is deliberately kept simple. Sink, storage compartments and space for a stove or plancha cover all essential needs without overloading the space. Storage space is plentiful and well distributed, with a large, accessible and organized rear trunk capable of absorbing on-board equipment, fenders and accessories.

An ergonomic cockpit

The center console offers three seating positions, with a choice of seated or semi-standing riding positions. Honda's engine controls feature the new rigging associated with the BF350, with a neat layout and direct grip.

The space available allows the installation of one or two navigation screens, as required. Zipwake automatic trim controls complete the equipment, making it easier to trim the boat under sail and during load variations.

Below deck, the 4XC H28 offers an enclosed cabin, a feature still uncommon on some day cruisers. There's enough space for two berths for a night on board. Headroom remains moderate, but sufficient for occasional use.

The cabin features ample storage space and separate electric toilets, with privacy enhanced by tinted windows. A layout that opens the door to multi-day outings, without turning the boat into a permanent cruiser.
A versatile and safe front square

Forward, the deck features a convertible saloon. Removable table, modular cushions and removable backrests allow you to quickly switch from dining to sunbathing. The storage lockers under the seats offer a substantial volume, linked between the bow and the stern.

Handrails are plentiful and well-positioned, a welcome feature for getting around on board, especially with passengers unaccustomed to fast navigation.

Approved in category CE C B, the 4XC H28 Day Cruiser can accommodate up to 11 people during daytime cruising. Budget-wise, the model on display is available for ?135,000 (incl. VAT) with 350 hp. With an unladen weight of around 2,100 kg, it can be transported by road, provided it is equipped with a tractor unit and a suitable trailer.

This model is aimed at yachtsmen looking for a fast, safe boat that is sufficiently equipped to extend the day into the night. Without trying to be too gimmicky, the H28 offers a clear reading of its program, active coastal navigation, on-board comfort and controlled autonomy.
