The market for 8-meter open hulls is competitive, with many players offering models of this size, with open deck layout or a small cabin. Let's take a look at the Flyer 8's competitors.

An affordable package with engine

The Bénéteau Flyer 8 Sundeck is priced at ?61,320 without engine and around ?130,000 incl. VAT with a 350 hp Suzuki engine. The Spacedeck version is priced at ?55,200 incl. VAT without engine, and around ?110,000 with a 300 hp engine.

Some appreciated options for on-board comfort will be added, such as the two folding cockpit bench seats, priced at ?2,724 inc. For fishermen, the fishing station with livewell is ?1,164. The forward sundeck on the Spacedeck version will be added at a cost of ?2,292 for the standard version. For added style, black balconies - stainless steel as standard - are priced at ?696 incl. Essential and Comfort finishes are also offered by the shipyard, and include several items of equipment. The Essential version with cockpit table and offshore compass costs ?744. Many players on the market

American Quicksilver, the 805 Open with its 7.66 m length, comes closest to the Spacedeck version from Bénéteau. The deck layout is similar, with a handsome deck saloon on the foredeck. There's even a small cabin for napping. The base price of ?69,000 includes a 225 hp Mercury engine. Essential options will push the final price up to ?100,000.

At Jeanneau, the Leader 7.5 WA Series 3 is also slightly smaller at 7.37 m long. It also offers a similar deck layout to the Flyer 8 Spacedeck, but with a double cabin inside. Priced at ?125,000 incl. VAT, with options and a 300-hp Yamaha engine.

Finally, Italian Ranieri's Next 275 this 8.20-meter model starts at ?126,568 (incl. VAT) bareboat. Like the Flyer 8, it comes in two versions: SL, for day trips with a basic aft cabin and a toilet in the console, or the LX version, with two double berths inside.
