The Leader is one of Jeanneau?s iconic model lines. More than 35,000 units have been sold worldwide over the past 40 years. With the new Leader 6.0 CC, the Vendée-based shipyard is ushering in a new phase in the evolution of this family of dayboats by updating its design, layout, and certain technical features.
A New Identity for the Smallest Leader
The Leader 6.0 CC introduces a new design language that will gradually be adopted across the lineup. The center console features a design inspired by the Leader 9.0 CC, launched in 2025, with a panoramic windshield that spans the entire width of the console.
The shipyard is also revamping the line's visual identity. The Jeanneau name now appears directly on the hull, while the Leader logo is featured at the bow.
With an overall length of 5.94 m, or 6.78 m including the aft platforms, the boat has a maximum beam of 2.32 m and can be equipped with an engine of up to 150 ch.
A deck plan designed for water sports
Jeanneau markets the 6.0 CC as a boat designed for day trips, water sports, and coastal cruising. The foredeck is completely unobstructed to make it easier to move around or stow equipment. A spacious storage compartment is accessible from the front of the console.
Aft, the bolsters in the helm station are reversible to create a relaxation area while at anchor. Several optional features are available to complement the layout, including additional swim platforms, fixed modules that transform the cockpit into a saloon, and a toilet installed in the storage cabin.
A motor suitable for a variety of uses
The Leader 6.0 CC comes standard with a 115 ch engine. Jeanneau notes that this configuration is designed for both novice boaters and professionals, including rental companies, boat clubs, and sailing schools.
For users looking for more power, a 150 ch engine is also available. The fuel tank has a capacity of 136 liters.
An innovation called Aqua Top
Among the new features is the Aqua Top, a piece of equipment designed to extend the living space while at anchor. Installed above the T-Top while underway, this floating unit can be lowered into the water once the boat is at anchor to create an additional platform for swimming or relaxing.
The manufacturer also offers an ambiance package that includes a black-lacquered six-spoke steering wheel, a modernized dashboard trim, glossy black trim panels, and Baltic Iceberg upholstery. A new Light Blue hull color has also been added to the catalog.
A boat designed for the European market
The new Leader 6.0 CC was also designed with European transportation and marketing requirements in mind. With a width of 2.32 m, it can be transported in a 40-foot container. Its overall length of less than 6 meters also meets certain regulatory requirements of the Spanish market, while its dimensions make it easy to transport on a trailer.
The new Leader 6.0 CC will be unveiled to the public for the first time at the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle, taking place September 22?27, 2026.
