With the Gozzo 48 Cabin, Apreamare has taken a new step in the modernization of the Sorrento gozzo. The direct heir to a centuries-old tradition, this 15-meter model combines Mediterranean identity, Italian craftsmanship and technical innovations designed for modern cruising.

A heritage from traditional gozzos

The Sorrento gozzo is much more than a boat: it's an icon of Mediterranean culture. Historically used as a fishing boat, recognizable by its rounded stern and simple lines, it has passed through the generations, becoming a symbol of conviviality and robustness. In the 1980s and 1990s, Apreamare set about transforming this utility boat into a pleasure yacht, without ever betraying its identity. Today, the shipyard remains one of the few to produce models that claim this direct lineage.

A site in search of balance

Since its creation, Apreamare has always sought to combine three values: fidelity to tradition, the quest for comfort and respect for timeless design. The Gozzo range illustrates this desire to maintain a strong link with the shipyard's roots, while offering yachts capable of appealing to an international clientele. The Gozzo 48 Cabin is part of this continuity: it is the new flagship of the range, designed to extend the experience beyond day-cruising and offer a true cruising program.

The genesis of the project

The Gozzo 48 Cabin concept is the work of Cataldo Aprea, the shipyard's key figure and guarantor of fidelity to the original spirit. He enlisted the help of Marco Casali (Too Design) for styling and layout, Umberto Tagliavini (Marine Design) for the hull, and the in-house engineering department for technical support. The ambition was clear: to create a yacht capable of reconciling the discreet elegance of the gozzo, habitability worthy of larger models, and reassuring performance for Mediterranean cruising.

A program focused on comfortable cruising

At 15 m in length, the Gozzo 48 Cabin is a coastal and semi-high-seas cruising yacht. Its vocation is not to break speed records or compete with open sports yachts, but rather to offer serene, protected and elegant cruising. The choice of an enclosed wheelhouse illustrates this desire: unlike the first gozzos, protected only by an awning, this model adapts to the vagaries of the weather and offers a genuine extension of the living space.

The Gozzo 48 Cabin is aimed at owners who wish to alternate family outings, friendly coastal cruising and multi-day cruising. It's a boat with Mediterranean DNA, but thanks to its variable V-shaped hull and modern engines, it can cope with more varied conditions than its ancestors.
