The construction of Lucas' Beg-Meil is a François Vivier plan. This architect offers plans for amateur builders, but above all he offers all the assembly methods to build his boat as well as possible. Lucas follows him to the letter.
In this stage, he builds his shipyard (flat and horizontal surface) on which his boat will be built. This sail and oar boat is built upside down to facilitate the installation of planks. It will only be returned once the hull is finished from the outside.
You can feel in this video all the pleasure of Lucas when he discovers the shapes of his boat and that he can finally see the volumes outside the only sketches of the plan.
