Web series / La Vivacia, how to make a glued laminate?

Lucas continues to share with us the construction of his Beg-Meil, a 4.50 m sail/row on a Vivier plan. Today, he presents the technique of glued laminated laminated timber for the construction of the false bow.

Lucas has started building a Beg-Meil, a Vivier plan that he will implement with his own hands. To build this sail/row, he now uses the glulam technique to build a curved part. Indeed, the false bow will stick under the boat, once it is tucked in, to finish the hull cleanly.

The glued laminate is made of 15 3 mm Sipo plies glued with epoxy resin. Make sure that the assembly is properly squared when pressing. Very didactic, this video describes all the steps for the construction of this room.
