The Canot, the Pram's big brother, has just been launched. Designed by architecture firm BoW (Be On Water) for crews of 2 to 3 people, it lets you discover bays and islands with a high-performance gliding experience. Its construction in sustainable materials, suitable for an amateur builder, makes it an interesting option for boating enthusiasts and professionals alike.

Modernity and safety
The Canot's features ensure both performance and safety. Its modern lines with inverted bow, flush deck and self-draining cockpit offer a pleasant sailing experience, while the safe freeboard ensures crew protection. Constructed from plywood, flax fibre and biosourced epoxy resin, this sub-5-metre dinghy (4.50 x 1.70 m) combines robustness with respect for the environment. These materials were chosen for their lightness and durability, enabling easy navigation and reduced maintenance.

Accessible construction
The Canot can be built by amateurs or delivered ready to sail by our partner marine carpenter, "Bosco Charpentier de Marine". The building process, similar to that of the Pram, is designed to be accessible even to those with little experience. The detailed plans and construction kits available make the task much easier. Allow around 300 hours for construction. What's more, the use of ecological and renewable materials is a considerable advantage for those concerned about the environmental impact of their craft.

While the Pram is a cat-boat suitable for one person, the Canot with its jib and Code D can take 2 adults and a child, with a maximum load capacity of 200 kg.
The wood kit is available at ?4,650. The complete kit is priced at ?9,990. Finally, you can expect to pay ?25,200 for a ready-to-sail boat (Prices 2024 inc. VAT).

Pram, a confirmed success
The success of the Pram, whose 24th model is currently under construction, bears witness to the reliability and appeal of the boats in this range. The Pram has also been awarded a rating of 1150 by the Fédération Française de Voile (FFV) for inter-series regattas, underlining its competitive performance. The Canot follows this successful line, offering a larger and even more versatile option for sailing enthusiasts.
