Aiata Wayfinder 38: open or cab, one support for two programs

Designed to evolve with use, the Wayfinder 38 offers the same fast hull in two modular versions. Open or cabin, each layout is based on an adaptable structure and clear technical choices. Turkish shipyard Aiata applies construction standards derived from industrial yachting.

The Wayfinder 38 is aimed at a demanding clientele of coastal or semi-offshore sailors, keen on fast outings or short cruises. Built in Istanbul at the Aiata shipyard, this 11.60 m yacht combines modular deck layout with adaptable interior layout solutions.

Two versions of the same planing hull

The same hull, 11.60 m long and 3.50 m wide, is used for two versions: the Wayfinder 38 Suntop (open) and the Wayfinder 38 Cabin (closed). In both cases, the design is based on a wide, tulip-shaped bow, a double lateral step and a waterline optimized for high speeds. This configuration delivers performance between 41 and 53 knots, depending on the engine. Cruising speed remains fixed at around 30 knots, enabling safe coastal crossings.

Modularity: a structural approach to design

The Aiata shipyard boasts a high level of modularity: front, rear and even superstructure modules can be reconfigured, even after purchase. This approach calls for an adapted structural design. Finite element calculations have been carried out to anticipate deformations during navigation and plan for the necessary reinforcements. The result is optimized weight and reduced on-board vibration and noise.

Wayfinder Suntop: a unit designed for Mediterranean navigation

The Suntop version is designed for sailors in temperate climates or in summer. The cockpit is completely uncluttered, and the deck layout favors circulation. There's a bar at the stern, a seat that can be converted into a sundeck at the bow, and a central helm station protected by a low windshield. Access to the cabin is via a central hatch, where you'll find a bed and a toilet.

Wayfinder Cabin: a closed version for all-season cruising

The Cabin version replaces the T-top with a glazed superstructure fitted with a sliding door. The helm station is offset, and the cabin houses an L-shaped saloon, galley, double bed and enclosed bathroom. This version extends the cruising season, with greater protection against wind and sea spray. It's also the version most suited to Northern European yachting.

Extensive, scalable customization

Owners can configure their Wayfinder via an online configurator. Three finishes are available. Modular architecture means that the boat can be upgraded over time, without the need for major work. However, this technical flexibility requires support from the shipyard or its distributors to ensure structural compatibility of the conversions.
