The AIR 77 model made its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2013. At the 2026 edition, SARFNAV will present ?Breathe Me,? the first rebuilt unit of this 72.5-foot motor catamaran, whose conversion was carried out in collaboration with the Couach shipyard in Gujan-Mestras.
A reconstruction involving 85% of the ship
The refit, which began in 2014, covers nearly 85% of the vessel. Both hulls were widened by 60 cm each, the engine system was replaced with two 435 ch Volvo engines, and propulsion now relies on new Ultrajet waterjets. The draft is reported to be 0.95 m, a choice designed to maintain access to shallow waters while preserving the catamaran?s maneuverability.
Built from epoxy-coated wood without the use of a production mold, the AIR 77 is crafted one at a time. This construction method sets this model apart from mass-produced vehicles.
Completely redesigned facilities
The interior has also been redesigned. The cabins feature new exotic wood paneling, full-grain leather, and 65 m² of thermoformed Plexiglas, with each element individually crafted and fitted. The roof and cabins are upholstered with 430 m² of 3.4 mm-thick leather.
Designed by Frédéric Sarfati, the AIR 77 retains its open layout, with a seamless transition between the cockpit, the roof, and the outdoor areas. This design prioritizes ease of movement on board and visibility between the various living spaces.
