Test / Bayliner V20, a bowrider with two engines for a single program

Which Bayliner to replace the iconic VR5? The American manufacturer launches the V20, a bowrider that gains in living space with more modern lines and a much-awaited finish. This new model is likely to be as successful as its predecessor.

Bayliner's latest model has the difficult task of replacing the VR5. This model, launched in 2014, is a best-seller for the brand. For the new V20, the shipyard has designed a new, wider hull with more modern lines to increase the living space of this bowrider.

Powered by an outboard or inboard motor, the V20 caters to the various markets for these small day boats designed for cruising and water sports. With a comprehensive, but not overly enthusiastic, catalog of accessories, it will make its European debut at the 2024 autumn boat shows.

New products for powerboats under 6 m are quite rare in these difficult times for boatyards. We tried out the 2 outboard and inboard versions of this accessible and transportable unit.
