Yamarin Cross 62 BR V Max, a small bow-rider for beginners direct from Finland

The Cross 62 BR V Max is a fun little bowrider.

While the Cross range was originally a series within the Yamarin brand, it has now become more independent, offering boats with a hybrid construction, i.e. aluminum and polyester. That's what we will see in this first part.

Originally, the Cross family was the aluminum series of the Yamarin range, a very popular material in Finland. Buoyed by its success, Cross became a brand in its own right in 2019, with a completely new, funnier and younger look.

The Cross range includes nine models ranging in size from 16 to 24 ft, each with an aluminum hull but a fiberglass interior for a more flattering finish.

A special series with the Yamaha's famous V Max engine

The 62 BR is more or less in the middle of the range and, in this V Max version, is a little sportier, since it is powered by Yamaha's famous V Max engine, to which Inha Work and therefore Cross belong.

Aesthetically, the 62 BR V Max adopts a tanguy style, with a carbon-printed hull, a large V Max logo on the rear third of the hull and a windscreen with black uprights to great effect. The polyester deck rises well above the hull, and its whiteness provides a nice contrast to the overall look.

A young an aggressive look

Inside, the white deck is covered with a gray non-slip material called soft deck, which is very pleasant to walk on. The ensemble is completed by grey, almost black, upholstery, for a coherent effect.

Situated between the 57 and the 64, the 62 is 1.6 ft longer than the 57 and only 6.3 inches shorter than the 64. A minimal difference, but one that makes all the difference, since the 62 BR really does offer more space on board than the 57, while remaining more compact and, above all, much less expensive than the 64 BR.
