Antudo 23, a newcomer to the world of RIBs

The Antudo 23 is an elegant, well-finished semi-rigid. Above all, its hull promises above-average performance and low fuel consumption.

Built in Sicily, antudo RIBs is positioning itself in the market for luxury yachts with a modern design and comfortable sailing. The shipyard aims to offer what it calls a design "for the French Riviera".

The first model in the range, the Antudo 23 it measures just under 7 m, i.e. 6.97 m to avoid taxes above. We discovered an impeccably finished, elegant and refined boat.

A double-step hull

The hull of the Antudo 23 has been designed to consume as little fuel as possible. To achieve this, architect Alessandro Chessa relies on a double step and a strong V forward, with 29° amidships and 21° aft.

When asked about the right engine for your boat, the yard's answer is surprising: the weight of the engine must not exceed 270 kg! For homologation purposes, the maximum power is 250 hp and the recommended 140 hp, but it's above all the maximum weight of the outboard that will help in the choice of engine.

Initial tests with a 225 hp Mercury achieved a top speed of 46 knots, but it's above all at cruising speed of 25 knots that the Antudo 23 consumes just 1 liter per mile.

Top-of-the-range finish

Antudo 23: meticulous finishes

The Antudo's fittings are particularly well finished, with embroidered fabric sheathing to great effect. There's a U-shaped rear saloon protected by polyester side rails. Passengers will find it particularly reassuring. The console seat is a leaning post sit/stand with nicely rounded forms.

Forward, a large sundeck occupies the entire bow. Note the stowage lockers below, and at the very bow, the anchor locker with chain and anchor in a davit through the bow, invisible on deck. A small, rigid deck forward accommodates 2 retractable cleats, and above all facilitates front loading and unloading.

The entire boat is covered in EVA faux teak, which doesn't heat up in the sun. At the stern, 2 bathing decks flank the outboard.
