The Berret Racoupeau design firm focused in particular on the hull and adopted an inverted bow, while Amel retains its deep, sheltered central cockpit?a feature appreciated for offshore sailing and watches with a small crew.

Living space is also increasing, as is the area dedicated to solar panels. This latter feature addresses the growing demand for electricity during long-distance voyages. The Amel 50.2 remains, of course, designed for cruising, with a focus on crew safety and energy self-sufficiency.
CNB 62, a large monohull designed for sailing with a small crew
Designed by Philippe Briand, the CNB 62 measures nearly 20 meters and is aimed particularly at owners who wish to sail a large monohull with a small crew. Its deck plan features a carbon-fiber arch that frees up space in the cockpit and helps separate navigation-related functions from the areas dedicated to outdoor living.

Inside, the salon features large windows. But one of the practical design choices is the storage solution for the dinghy, which is housed in a longitudinal garage.
Grand Soleil 80 Plus Long Cruise: A Telescopic Keel to Expand the Lineup
The Grand Soleil 80 Plus Long Cruise takes things to a whole new level at 26.20 m. For this project, Cantiere del Pardo has brought together Matteo Polli and Nauta to develop an offshore cruising program that still prioritizes performance. The carbon-fiber rig and dual rudders support this goal, while the telescopic keel addresses a different challenge.

It allows the draft to be adjusted to accommodate the constraints encountered while sailing and when accessing ports or anchorages. The boat is also equipped with a Torqeedo hybrid propulsion system. On board, the separation between guest and crew quarters reflects the design of an 80-foot sailboat intended to be operated by a professional crew.
New Y7: Mechanical Considerations Are Integrated Into the Boat's Design
The new Y7 from YYachts, designed by judel/vrolijk & co., measures 21.99 m. Among the announced changes, the asymmetrical entry alters the layout of the cockpit, which is now more sheltered and features a U-shaped bench. But the most interesting feature for an owner who regularly maintains and uses their boat lies below deck.

The engine room has been relocated to a dedicated technical area accessible from two locations. This layout further separates maintenance areas from living quarters while facilitating access to the equipment. On a nearly 22-meter cruising sailboat, mechanical accessibility is a factor that must be considered just as carefully as the layout of the saloon or the cockpit.
Swan 80-301: A Blend of Offshore Sailing and Cruising
With the Swan 80-301, Nautor Swan offers a monohull designed by Germán Frers. Lucio Micheletti designed the exterior, and Misa Poggi designed the interior layout. The design aims to combine the characteristics of a large racing-cruising yacht with those necessary for long-distance cruising.

Both helm stations contribute to this layout, as does the modular cockpit, which allows the deck to be adapted for either cruising or life at anchor. The interior layout options also give the owner greater flexibility. This versatility is designed for sailors who want to maintain the option to alternate between cruising and more challenging sailing.
Aquila 45 Sail, with three or four cabins depending on the configuration
The Aquila 45 Sail is the second sailing catamaran developed by Aquila, utilizing the multihull platform to create several outdoor spaces. A fixed lounge area occupies the bow, while an open flybridge complements the aft cockpit, which extends from the salon. The large glass surfaces enhance the visual connection between the saloon and the outdoors.

The shipyard offers configurations with three or four cabins. The former is better suited to an owner seeking private living spaces, while the latter increases accommodation capacity and may be of interest for charter operations. It remains to be seen how easy it is to move between these different spaces on board and what visibility is offered from the helm.
FP48: Fountaine Pajot divides life on board into several areas
The successor to the Tanna 47, the FP48 is organized into several areas: the aft cockpit, the saloon, the forward cockpit, and the Lounge Deck. A large picture window opens the saloon to the aft, while the galley occupies a central position in the interior layout.

Two configurations have been announced: Maestro, designed for private use, and Quatuor, designed to increase the number of cabins. The shipyard is also emphasizing electricity generation with integrated solar panels and the ODSea+ system. Leopard 43: Inverted Bows for Enhanced Performance

Lagoon 47: A Front Door to Change the Layout on Board

The centerboards, in particular, enhance the catamaran?s ability to tack, while also allowing them to be raised when the draft needs to be reduced.
