The Navan C30's facilities are optimized for a variety of activities, whether coastal cruising, dayboating or fishing, thanks to its well-designed 30-foot hull.
Smooth access and traffic flow
Access to the boat is via the two bathing platforms on either side of the twin engine. The swim ladder is integrated into the port platform, which is equipped with a tubular gate of questionable efficiency.
The rear bench features comfortable armrests and cup holders, which are installed in large numbers throughout the C30. The black-lacquered aluminum roll-bar housing the towing point for sports towing is very attractive.
Two folding seats integrated into the bulwark provide two additional seats at mealtimes.
The aft end of the fully enclosed wheelhouse houses the galley area, and a cockpit table with modular table top is located in the cockpit.
Access to the wheelhouse is via side doors on both sides. The high freeboard is reassuring, and access to the foredeck is via a short step on the symmetrical side decks.
The foredeck features a large sundeck with adjustable headrests. The anchor locker is easy to access, and will only accommodate the windlass and chain. The fenders will be stowed in the aft cockpit lockers.
A fully equipped cabin
Inside, a large 3-seat bench occupies the entire width of the rear cabin. The cockpit seat houses the fridge, which faces a small interior kitchen area.
This "breakfast point" allows you to prepare a quick snack when outside temperatures make it impossible to use the outdoor kitchen.
The unit is equipped with 12v air conditioning and dedicated batteries, for use away from a charging station.
Particular attention has been paid to the upholstery, which features a beautiful seat and visible stitching, adding a premium touch to the Navan C30's interior.
Finally, ventilation is provided by both the side doors and the sliding roof over half the wheelhouse. The rear of the cabin opens completely over the galley, providing ample ventilation on hot days.
Facilities for short cruises
Below deck, the C30 is equipped with a bright double berth. A small bathroom is located on the port side of the companionway, with shower, washbasin and WC. This is a good size for a 30-footer, but will be a little cramped for larger sailors.
