The new monohull yachts to discover at the 2023 autumn boat shows

The Autumn boat show season is approaching. From September 2023 onwards, the pontoons of the various ports of France and Europe will be home to the brand-new models that will make the 2024 season. Here are just a few of the monohull yachts that will be making their debut this autumn.

7.65 m - Surprise

Designed in 1976 by Michel Joubert - so not exactly new! - this 7.65 m one-design stood out for its performance and quality. After several attempts to relaunch this iconic series, the Surprise is back under the Bateaux Ph?nix banner, under the leadership of skipper and amateur racer Didier Bouygues. This yacht will be available in 3 versions: Confort with a small interior layout, Standard for the regatta sailor, and Club for those on a tight budget. Visible at Grand Pavois.

7.94 - Tofinou 7.9

Following in the footsteps of the latest Tofinou 9.7, the 7.9 takes up all the codes. Same lines, same piano and winch layout, all with 2 m less length. Here, it's the cabin that suffers, as it almost completely disappears in favor of a shelter with two berths below deck. This model, which will be on display at the Grand Pavois, will be available with electric propulsion.

10.40 m - Sun Fast 30 OD

The Sun Fast 30, C30 for class 30, One Design aims to be the one-design of the future for the young class of sailors, sailing as a crew, double-handed or solo. Manufactured by Jeanneau in recyclable resin, it is also intended to demonstrate the progress of these materials in shipbuilding. More than 40 units have already been reserved, and a number of fleets are being formed to help get this new series off the ground. Visible at Grand Pavois.

11.93 m - Océanis 37.1

This 12-meter size now represents the heart of the cruising yacht range. Difficult even for Bénéteau to replace its Océanis 38! Sail the successor, the 37.1 designed by Lombard. While this yacht doesn't revolutionize styling, it does feature a galley on the starboard side and a saloon on the port side, allowing access to the forward cabin. This yacht is available with 2 or 3 double cabins.

12.55 m - Hanse 410

With its 4.30 m. Wide, running almost from the mast step to the transom, the Hanse 410 is sure to have plenty of room to spare in its cabins. This model will be available in 2 or 3 cabins, with 18 possible layout combinations! As an option, this model will be available with an electric propulsion system offering up to 55 miles of autonomy. Enough to get you into port without a hitch.

12.75 m - Dufour 41

Following in the footsteps of the Dufour 37 launched in 2022, the Dufour 41 continues to be designed by Felci. With its resolutely modern lines, this yacht features large expanses of glass. This applies to the hull, with a very long porthole running from the aft cabins through the saloon to the bow cabin, as well as to the deck, with a zenithal porthole and another at the front. The generously shaped hull accommodates 3 or 4 cabins and up to 3 heads. This new 2023 model for Dufour will be presented at Cannes and La Rochelle.

12.90 m - Ovni 430

Built for ocean cruising, Vendée-based Alubat continues to offer its customers integral aluminum dinghies. The Ovni 430 is an evolution of the 400 launched in 2019, which it replaces. At Grand Pavois 2023 in La Rochelle, it will be presented with "hybrid" motorization, i.e. an Oceanvolt electric motor that can be powered by batteries, but also by a generator. This installation is complemented by solar panels on the aft gantry and a hydrogenerator. For comfort, this unit comes with a rigid dog house to cope with the worst sailing conditions.

14.67 m - Iroise 48

An archetypal ocean-going yacht, the Iroise 48 was designed by Pierre Delion. The layout has been specially designed to provide maximum comfort for all passengers, particularly at high latitudes. With its dog house to protect the cockpit and navigation area, this two-keel aluminum bilge yacht will be on display at the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle.

14.86 m - Bavaria C46

German manufacturer Bavaria's C-Line range is designed for cruising. The C46, fitted out with 3 to 5 cabins, will be just as comfortable for an owner as for a charterer, where the number of berths is important. The large cockpit features numerous sunbathing areas and a large tilting platform for easy swimming at anchor.

16.00 m - Mirabelle 16

This is one impressive sailboat. Designed with a scow bow, this aluminum unit is as wide at the bow as it is at the stern. It's the brainchild of Eric Prang, who presented us with the AmerX in 2015, a keelless foiling cruiser. This time around, the Mirabelle 16 is a two-keel boat, with no more foils, and a hull width that favors stability. The interior should offer impressive volume. This new type of sailboat will be on display at the Grand Pavois boat show in La Rochelle.

18.20 m - Grand Soleil 65

It measures 60 feet, but is called Grand Soleil 65 LC, LC for Long Curise. Indeed, this unusual unit is a cruising sailboat... with a strong racing orientation. With a displacement of 26 tons and a lifting keel that brings the draught up to 5.90 m, this exceptional yacht is sure to be at home on a race-cruise.
