Web series / Nomad Citizen Sailing : it's going crazy in Saint-Gilles Croix-de-Vie

In this new episode of Nomad Citizen Sailing, Daniela, Marvin and their little Tara introduce us to Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie in the Vendée, and the tradition reserved for yachtsmen calling at the port.

Daniela, Marvin and their little girl Tara are living the slow life. This way of life allows them to sail quietly according to their whim, without necessarily having a program waiting for them. After La Rochelle, it is in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, in the Vendée region of France, that they made a stopover.

They take the opportunity to bring professionals on board who will install a bowsprit for their new sail, a Code D. The beach day initially planned then turns into a "chill" day on board the boat: swimming at the bottom of their Océanis for Daniela under the amused eye of Tara, meal in the cockpit accompanied by the sunset or a digestive paddle ride for Marvin and his little girl.

But the next morning, they wake up to a completely different atmosphere. The weather forecast was not as expected, it was all grey and gusts to 25 knots made for an eventful night.

It is thus well sheltered in the port of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie that they end their stay. They take the opportunity to welcome their friend Matthieu on board and discover the harbour tradition reserved for yachtsmen in port of call.
