Test / Accommodation and life on board on the Flyer 10, a real weekender

Before doing a few tacks on the Flyer10, we take a tour of the owner and discover an interior space that allows us to spend the weekend camping on the coast, in good weather.

An intelligent deck plan

The Flyer 10 shows his pretensions as soon as you get on board. All the functions of life on board are well distributed. Access to the water for swimming, the aft deck around the outboard motors, which includes a roll-bar for fishing and water-skiing, are convenient. In the cockpit, a beautiful C-shaped saloon can accommodate six people for dining and once the table is lowered to the seating level, a huge, well-sheltered sundeck takes its place. It can even be enlarged with the backrest that folds away.

The necessary for the kitchen

Facing the cockpit table, a small kitchen with sink, stove and coolbox is leaning against the pilot's seats. This sustentation device is completed at the bottom of the companionway by a fridge and microwave oven built into the port side furniture. To store provisions, all the benches have lockers and to store larger equipment such as skis or an inflatable paddle and possibly an additional fridge, the table-bench assembly can be raised using hydraulic jacks uncovering a large hold. The storage result is therefore very positive.

A modular interior

At the bottom of the downhill, a central clearance distributes traffic. At the front, a U-shaped saloon allows you to take meals under cover. It converts into a large sleeping area for the night. To the left of the storage and wardrobe is a real bathroom with a separate shower, which deserves to be mentioned. Towards the rear a door gives access to a double cabin. The headroom is not very great, but the bed is wide. Like the bathroom and the saloon, it benefits from hull portholes. It is therefore possible to spend a few days with four people, but it will be more suitable for a couple with children.

A choice of decoration

The largest model in the range also benefits from two choices of Alpi woodwork, which is the yard's speciality. Grey Cedar can be replaced by warmer brown walnut and the floors are treated with brown laminated oak. The resulting ambiance is very contemporary although slightly dark when the sky is grey outside. The exterior upholstery is Silvertex in shades of pearl grey or cognac.
