A moving blessing for the Imagine sailboat
Imagine, this 60-foot tall ship, led by Armel Tripon, will leave for the Route du Rhum on November 2 and will compete in the 2016 Vendée Globe. Before that, she had her baptism, or rather her blessing by a priest, for her first launch in the port of La Trinité-sur-Mer. This symbolic step marks the end of the first phase of the project. After two months of winter refit at BS production, it is in the port of La Trinité that Imagine will be moored, that she will take the start of the races and that Armel will train on board.
On the crowded quays, on the eve of the Tour de Belle-Île, all the Imagine associates came to participate in the great mass. More than 120 people dressed in t-shirts and singing songs, specially created for the occasion, accompanied the priest who gave his blessing. The godmother of Imagine, France Denis and Emeric Brabant, one of the creators of the concept, made a moving speech and Armel Tripon could not hold back a small tear.

Participate in the Tour de Belle-Île to celebrate
The next day, all the "imagineers" participated in the Tour de Belle-Île. They had rented fifteen J80s for the occasion and faced a demanding sea and a particularly strong wind. Armel Tripon and his crew also took part in the race, starting cautiously for the first time in the race but finishing victorious.

What is the Imagine project?
Imagine is the meeting of two friends, passionate about sailing and adventure, and a sportsman who wanted more than anything to realize his dream: to participate in the Vendée Globe. Sharing the same ideas, the two friends decided to accompany the man, Armel Tripon, in his ambitious project of solo sailing around the world. But also to federate a community with the same goal: to accompany athletes in their challenges and help them realize their dreams.
