Lagoon 38: a compact, well-designed catamaran

The long-awaited successor to the Lagoon 380 attracted particular attention. Intended for sailors looking for their first catamaran or for coastal cruisers, this model features an optimized design. At 11.40 m long and 6.70 m wide, it is compact without sacrificing space on board. Compared with its predecessor, whose production was discontinued in 2019, the 38 has gained in volume and habitability.
The self-tacking solent makes a comeback on the youngest of the range, but the mainsail has lost its rail. As the solent is rather small for such a unit, the addition of a code 0 is highly recommended for shifting in light and medium airs.

The Lagoon 38 boasts generous interior space for its class. The cockpit, connected to the saloon by a large sliding door, ensures fluid circulation and optimum conviviality. The interior layout, available in three or four cabins, can accommodate up to twelve people. The owner's version offers a forward suite with private bathroom and plenty of storage space.

Sailing-wise, the Lagoon 38 is equipped with a 72.2 m² sail and two 29 hp engines. Its shallow draft of 1.26 m makes it ideal for exploring shallow anchorages, while guaranteeing good stability at sea. She is available for ?409,000 ex works.
Eighty 3: the catamaran superyacht par excellence

Lagoon also presents the Eighty 3, its largest motorized catamaran to date. With a length of 24.40 m and over 300 m² of living space, this luxurious model is positioned as a true top-of-the-range motor yacht. Designed to offer the ultimate in comfort, it features several layout configurations, with up to six cabins and a modular living area. Its range of 3,500 nautical miles makes it the ideal choice for long crossings.
A renewed vision of cruising
With these two models, Lagoon affirms its commitment to offering catamarans suited to all sailor profiles. Whether you're looking for a practical and functional first catamaran, or a luxurious long-distance cruiser, the Lagoon 38 and Eighty 3 are the reference choices.
