An admirable career

Violette Dorange first came to public attention when she became the youngest skipper to take part in the Vendée Globe. In the 2024 edition, she completed her circumnavigation in 90 days, finishing 25th for her first participation. Her courage and talent have left their mark, and her authenticity has won over sailing enthusiasts. Her commitment and enthusiasm have made her a sailor with a strong following in the media and among the general public.
A duo of experience and transmission
The arrival of Violette Dorange alongside Sam Davies marks a key step in her career. The IMOCA Initiatives-C?ur, a latest-generation foiler that has been reliable for two years, is an ideal support for her progress. Sam Davies, with 27 years' experience and four Vendée Globe participations under her belt, takes on the role of mentor with conviction.

We all remember the energy and freshness inspired by Sam's communication during her first Vendée Globe in 2008, aboard the IMOCA Roxy. There's no doubt that the two sailors will successfully convey the values of the Initiatives C?ur project, while working aboard a machine with great potential.
Sam's previous co-skippers include Paul Meilhat, now skipper of Biotherm, and Nicolas Lunven, at the helm of Holcim PRB. Both took part in the Jacques Vabre alongside the English sailor, finishing in 5th place respectively e and 6 e place in the Vendée Globe 2024.
Goal: the former Transat Jacques Vabre
This season's major events include the Transat Café L'OR is the duo's main objective. Scheduled to set sail from Le Havre on October 26, 2025, this event will mark Violette Dorange's first major race on Initiatives-C?ur. This ambitious program confirms the project's commitment to high-level racing and offers a new dynamic for the young sailor.
