A dazzling victory for Charlie Dalin and Macif Santé Prévoyance

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, Charlie Dalin crossed the finish line in Les Sables-d'Olonne, winning this edition of the Vendée Globe with a record time of 64 days, 19 hours, 22 minutes and 49 seconds. Aboard the IMOCA Macif Santé Prévoyance, this talented sailor demonstrated the remarkable performance of a boat designed and built by CDK Technologies in collaboration with MerConcept.

Launched in June 2023, Macif Santé Prévoyance boasts an innovative design by Guillaume Verdier. This 60-foot monohull has been optimized to offer exceptional performance while guaranteeing robustness and ergonomics. Inspired by the IMOCA APIVIA, which will also win under Dalin's colors in 2021, this new yacht has pushed back the limits of solo sailing.
A third podium for Groupe Dubreuil

Sébastien Simon, aboard Groupe Dubreuil, reached the finish three days later, on January 17, taking an impressive third place after 67 days of racing. This IMOCA, also built by CDK Technologies, proved its worth despite foil damage in the Southern Ocean, which did not prevent Simon from breaking the record for the longest distance covered in 24 hours single-handed, at 615 miles.
Groupe Dubreuil is a boat with a prestigious track record. Initially built for 11th Hour Racing, she won The Ocean Race 2021 before being optimized by MerConcept to meet the challenges of the Vendée Globe. This record is testimony to the durability and excellence of CDK Technologies' constructions.
CDK Technologies, a key player in the Vendée Globe

With two boats on the podium, CDK Technologies confirms its dominant position in competitive sailing. Since the Brittany-based shipyard was founded, 13 IMOCAs built or optimized by its teams have taken the start of this edition of the Vendée Globe, representing almost a third of the fleet.
This success is based on unique expertise in composite construction and partnerships with renowned architects such as Guillaume Verdier. The shipyard's commitment to technological innovation enables it to meet the demands of the most competitive skippers, while guaranteeing the durability of its yachts.
Recognized expertise over the long term
Since 2008, five consecutive editions of the Vendée Globe have been won by boats from the CDK Technologies workshops. With this sixth victory in ten editions, the shipyard continues to write the history of ocean racing.
Sailboats such as Fives Lantana (2006) and Devenir (2007) remain competitive almost two decades after their launch, testifying to the quality and longevity of CDK constructions.
Brittany Sailing Valley at the forefront
Located at the heart of the Bretagne Sailing Valley, CDK Technologies contributes to the dynamism of this sector of excellence, which brings together over 200 companies and 2,300 employees. In addition to its role in competitive sailing, the shipyard plays an active role in industrial innovation projects, notably in the decarbonization of the maritime industry.
