Rhéa Marine returns to its roots

Presented at the Grand Pavois de La Rochelle 2025, the Rhéa 23 Origine is a new version of the 23' Open, the shipyard's flagship model. Behind its name lies a clear desire to revive the style and simplicity of the first Rhéas. Gone are the taut lines and bulky tops, replaced by an uncluttered cockpit, visible woodwork and an uncluttered seafaring spirit.

Launched in a limited series, this 6.50-meter model features the same hull as the 2012 model, with a few minor adjustments. It is in line with a fundamental market trend: the return to open boats, easy to maintain and immediately usable.
Blue hull, varnished wood and sober upholstery
Aesthetically, the 23 Origine takes up the brand's visual codes: dark blue hull, wooden gunwales (iroko) and simple upholstery in water-repellent fabric. The whole is coherent, without overloading. There's a deck saloon forward with removable table, a central space with two adjustable helm seats, and a triple bench seat aft.

Everything has been designed to maximize circulation on board, with wide side decks, well-placed handrails and easy access to the bow. A locker is located under the console in the bow, with a 12V socket and plenty of storage space for bags and other gear.

A familiar hull, as healthy as ever
The hull of the 23 Origine is the same as that of its predecessor. A moderate V-shaped hull that handles chop well, remains healthy in tight bends and maintains good grip at all points of sail.
Powered by a 200-hp Suzuki 4-stroke engine, the shipyard has announced a top speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 22 knots.
A simple but well-executed finish

The level of finish is in keeping with the site's standards: clean, without excess. There's nothing superfluous here. Seating is well thought-out, upholstery easy to remove, and materials chosen for durability rather than luxury.

Particularly noteworthy are the accessibility of the trunks, the ease of cockpit maintenance, and the good ergonomics of the cockpit. Overall ergonomics are efficient, with limited options to keep the price down.

Clearly positioned for coastal cruising

With this Origine model, Rhéa Marine is targeting boaters looking for a simple, attractive, well-built boat suitable for coastal cruising. A boat for day use, for fishing, sunbathing or family outings, without intrusive electronics or unnecessary fittings.
Priced at ?98,400 inc VAT with 200 hp Suzuki, the 23 Origine is positioned in the characterful opens segment, but with a strong French neo-classical DNA.
