DB 380SC, when a Bahrain shipyard presents its vision of the motorboat

A Bahrain-based shipyard unveils a new motorboat for use in international waters. The DB 380SC combines a Dutch design with construction certified to recognized standards. This model is positioned in the multi-purpose segment, between day trips and short cruises.

The DB 380SC marks a milestone in the development of H Al Dhaen Boats. With this 41-foot cruiser, the manufacturer offers a unit designed from the outset to meet the expectations of yachtsmen sailing in different basins.

A design by Mulder Design

The DB 380SC is the result of a collaboration initiated in 2025 between H Al Dhaen Boats and the Dutch firm Mulder Design. The work focused on exterior lines, naval architecture and the overall balance of volumes.

The hull shapes are designed for fast, comfortable sailing, with taut lines and controlled freeboard. The overall look is sober and uncluttered, with a focus on functionality and seaworthiness.

A walkaround deck plan

The deck has a walkaround configuration, with continuous side decks to facilitate movement from stern to bow. This choice meets common coastal sailing requirements, notably for repeated anchoring or docking maneuvers.

At the bow, a relaxation area lets you enjoy the boat at anchor. At the stern, the cockpit offers convivial seating, organized to accompany moments on board without hindering maneuvers. The continuity between these areas is designed to ensure smooth use of the boat, both when underway and when stationary.

Short-cruise-oriented habitability

Below deck, the DB 380SC offers a cabin, galley and washroom. This layout makes it possible to plan multi-day cruises, while keeping operation simple and straightforward.

Volumes are distributed in such a way as to preserve luminosity and interior circulation. This choice corresponds to a coastal cruising program, with nights on board possible without excessive technical complexity.

Construction and certification

The DB 380SC is announced with RINA certification, an important point for international distribution. This certification attests to compliance with recognized standards in terms of safety, structure and construction quality.

The site is based on an industrial organization supported by Mumtalakat, the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This framework ensures continuity in production, with an emphasis on engineering and model follow-up.

A cruiser designed for multi-purpose use

With the DB 380SC, H Al Dhaen Boats offers a unit designed for both day trips and longer coastal cruises. The boat is aimed at yachtsmen looking for an accessible cruiser capable of covering the miles without any particular constraints.

This model inaugurates a range that is set to grow, still in collaboration with Mulder Design, and reflects the shipyard's determination to make a lasting name for itself in the mid-size motorboat segment.
